Gaynell Shows, 79, a homemaker, of Brandon, died Wednesday, December 26, 2007, at Rankin Medical Center, Brandon. Visitation and funeral services were held at Mims Mitchell Funeral Home in Magee on Friday, December 28, with graveside service and burial following at Magee City Cemetery.

Mrs. Shows was born May 26, 1928, to the late Louie and Mattie Puckett in Simpson County. She was a member of Grandview Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, Steve Shows of Pearl; grandchildren, Matt Shows and Nicole Shows, both of Pearl; sisters, Louise Mangum and Gladys Perser, both of Madison, and Patsy Morris of Crystal Springs. She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Mattie Puckett; husband, Martin Kelly Shows and brother, E. L. Puckett.^[2]
