Biography
Jannie was born about 1765. He first name and parentage are not certain. Her husband's will names a wife Rosannah but it is not clear if this is the same women he married in 1786. (See births of children that pre-date their marriage).
Robert had the following children (note, the births of some are before he married Jannie):
George William, born 1782 (mentioned in father's will as George)
Elizabeth, born 1784 (mentioned in father's will as Elizabeth Adkins)
Mary "Polly" born 1785 (mentioned in father's will as Polly Adkins, deceased)
John, birth 1790 (mentioned in father's will)
Margaret "Peggy" born 1791 (mentioned in father's will as Peggy Adkins, deceased)
Barbara, birth 1792 (mentioned in father's will as Barbara Kitts)
Marcus "Mark" born 1793 (mentioned in father's will as Mark)
Robert, birth 1795 (mentioned in father's will)
Jannie died about 1845.
Research Notes
It may be possible that Rosannah and Jannie are two distinct women. The marriage record shows Jannie Puckett, however the will on a Nicholas Wyrick shows his daughter as Rosannah Monroe and Robert's will mentions his wife as Rosannah. It is possible that we may have two different Robert Monroe's, one that married a Rosannah Wyrick and one that married a Jannie Puckett. It may also be possible that one Robert Monroe had two wives (Rosannah and Jannie). Since the first several children were born before the marriage with Jannie, it is possible that Robert had three wives. More research is needed.

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Rosannah by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Rosannah:
I added the unsourced template because the link provided does not prove this person, only the parents but no children are listed.
It appears this profile was part of a merge as I had to remove an extra Biography heading. There are currently two source headings that I did not disturb because research notes are listed in between them that should probably be listed under a Research Notes heading.
