Name

Her name often appears in popular genealogies as "Nancy Anne." This is unlikely for two reasons: (1) Middle names were extremely rare during the colonial period. (2) "Nancy" was a common nickname for "Anne." So her name would have been Anne, and her nickname, Nancy.
