Biography

Elizabeth Purdy was born January 21, 1793, the daughter of Archaelus Purdy and Hannah Birdsill of Queensland, New Brunswick[1] [2]

On February 15, 1813, she married Henry Buleya, son of James Albert Buleya and Jemima Storm[3] [4], and they had children, including:

  1. James Albert Belyea born 23 Mar 1816, who married Jane Blizzard, and who died in 1870[2]
  2. Rachael Purdy Belyea 1816–1903, who married David Burns in 1836[2]
  3. Phoebe Ann Belyea[2] 1824–1888
  4. Frederick Archelaus Bulyea b. 28 Jan 1827, who moved to Ontario, married Margaret Hobbs, and who died 31 Dec 1890[2]

She died 13 February 1835 in Gagetown NB[5]
