Biography

Vinnia was born in 1923 in Texas. By 1930, the family was apparently living in Briscoe, Texas.^[1] It appears her father was Samuel Allen Purdy, a widower. Her Find A Grave: Memorial #59679414 lists her mother as Louisa Someoline Hays.

She married Clayton McCombs, then later apparently divorced as he didn't die until 2005, and she apparently remarried to a Wade.

Vinnia passed away in 1965. Burial was in the Abilene Municipal Cemetery, Abilene, Taylor County, Texas.^[2] The name on grave marker is Vina McCombs Wade.
