George, son of Nicholas Purefoy and Jane Vincent was born in about 1580.
He married firstly Mary Knightley in about 1604 and they had three sons, George, Edward and Valentine, and five daughters, Elizabeth, Joyce, Jane, Lucy and Ann
Secondly he married Dorothy, sister of Edward, Lord Denny. and thirdly he married Jane Roberts, daughter of Francis Roberts of Willesden and widow of Sir Thomas Glover of Hayes.
George died in Buckinghamshire in 1628 at the age of 45 and was buried at St Michael and All Angels Church, Fenny Drayton, Hinckley and Bosworth Borough, Leicestershire, England Fenny Drayton [1] There is a monument to him in the church [2] and others of the Purefoy Family.
