Biography

Ivy Ellen Pursehouse was born on Aug. 21, 1900 to George Charles Pursehouse and Henrietta (Withers) Pursehouse.

She married Thomas Edward Wilkinson on Oct. 2, 1920 in Tempe, New South Wales.[1]

Together they became the parents of George Wilkinson, William Wilkinson, Patricia Wilkinson, John Wilkinson,  Shirley Margaret Wilkinson, Maureen Wilkinson, and Barry Wilkinson.

Ivy passed away on Oct. 31, 1938 in St. Peters, New South Wales[2] and was buried at Woronora Memorial Park in Sutherland, Sutherland Shire, New South Wales.

MRS. IVY ELLEN WILKINSON.
After a long and painful illness, Mrs. Ivy Ellen Wilkinson, of Park-road, St. Peters, passed to her eternal reward on the 31st ult. The late Mrs. Wilkinson was born at Crookwell, and spent her early life at Gunning, Crookwell, Goulburn, and later St. Marys. For the past 20 years she had been living at Tempo Park. In 1920 she was married to Mr. Thomas Edward Wilkinson. A prominent church worker, Mrs. Wilkinson devoted a great deal of her time in assisting the convent school. She was a member of the Mothers' Club connected with the Tempe Convent. She was attended by Rev. Fathers J. Smith and C. Smithwick, and visited by the Sisters of Mercy from Tempe. The remains were conveyed to SS. Peter and Paul's ?Church, Tempe, where the funeral left for Woronora Cemetery, Rev. Father J. P. Walsh reciting the prayers at the graveside. The chief mourners : were Mr. Thomas Wilkinson (husband), George, William, Patricia, John, Maureen and Barry (sons and daughters), Mr. and Mrs. G.1 0. Pursehouse (parents), Messrs George, Clem and Ray Pursehoiise (brothers), Misses Mollie, Dulcie, and Evelyn Pursehousp (sisters), Messrs. C. Wilkinson, N. Groves and T. Rodgers (brothers-in-law), Mesdames Morris and Coffey (sisters-in-law). W. N. Bull (Pty., Ltd., carried out the funeral arrangements. — R.I.P.
