In 1942, John Lincoln Pyle's name is found in the 1942 Registration Cards for the US World War II Draft; in which John shows Wm G Pyle, his brother, as the person who will always know his address, and in the description for physical characteristics that will aide in identification, John wrote Broken nose, slightly crooked[7]
