Biography
Married to Henry Nathaniel Carter on December 12, 1879 in Osawatomie, Miami County, Kansas by Reverend S. L. Adair.
Her husband was the brother of her sister-in-law, Ellen Carter Pyle. They separated at some point and he went to Hamilton County, Kansas with the children.
At the time of her death she was a member of the 1st Baptist Church in Ottawa, Kansas.
She died of cancer.
Services were held in the Methodist Church in Lane, Kansas with the Reverend W. A. Elliott of the 1st Baptist Church in Ottawa conducting the service.
Buried in the Lane Cemetery in Lane, Franklin County, Kansas.
Age at time of death: 70 years, 6 months, 3 days.
