Biography

1776 Project
Lieutenant John Quarles served with Bedford County Militia, Virginia Militia during the American Revolution.

John was born in 1746. He was the son of Roger Quarles and Mary Goodloe. He passed away in 1789.

He served in the Bedford County, Virginia Militia during the American Revolution.

Alternately given unsourced as 1745 in King William, King William County or 1746 in Caroline County. Note that Caroline County was formed from King William County on 5 Dec 1700.

Death

Alternately given unsourced as 1789 in Bedford, Caroline County or 7 Jan 1798 Bedford, Bedford County.

Quarles-464 and Quarles-96 appear to represent the same person because: Spouses merged and child Lucy to be merged. Location of Caroline county may be correct since Caroline was formed from portions of King William County.
