Note: Newton, Ulster County ??: No Newton Ulster was found, however three possible Newtons (Newtowns) that existed in 1777; 1. Sussex County, NJ; 2. Queens County, NY, and 3. Newtown (now Elmira, then Albany County, then Tryon County (1772), then Montgomery County (1784), then Tioga County (1789), then Chemung County (1836), New York). Newtown became Elmira in 1808). Present Chemung County is adjacent (southwest) to Tompkins County (both counties were in Albany County at the time. Albany County's borders were hazy, as were Ulster County's...seemingly limited by the Pacific Ocean... Newton/Elmira was about 40 miles from Caroline Twp. in Tompkins County.
A Henry Quick, a Jacob Quick, and a Mrs. Earlsey ( with five sons, and five daughters, named Richard, William, John, Johnson, Joshua, Elanor, Sally, Betsey, Mary, and Kate); were mentioned in a list of early settlers of Tompkins County, New York[4]. Henry married daughter Sally/Sarah Earsley at Caroline Twp, Tompkins County, New York.
Henry QUICK was the first of that name to settle in the town (Caroline). He took the farm now owned by his son, Daniel H. Quick, about the year 1804. His "brother Jacob" came later, and also others of the name. Henry QUICK married a daughter of Widow (Marie Johnson) EARSLEY.[5]

Albeit, they may have returned to Rochester, Ulster, NY.
Note: Jacobus' son Jacobus Quick IV also migrated to Caroline, Tompkins County, ca. 1805, and d. Mar 30, 1854 at Caroline, Tompkins County, New York, USA; his 2nd. wife Sarah Roosa also d. at Caroline on December 16, 1854, Both were buried at the Central Chapel Cemetery, Brooktondale, Caroline Twp., Tompkins County, New York[9]. They had issue at Caroline Twp. It is possible that historical documents mistook Henry's nephew for his brother...they were close in age.
Jacob Quick b. 7 APR 1760 in Rochester, Ulster County, New York, d. 15 SEP 1830; m1. Annatje Bush b: 1762 in Marbletown, Ulster County, New York. There is no evidence that this Jacob, settled in Caroline, Tompkins County, NY. His life is accounted for in Ulster County.

His wife sally Earsley, b. Apr. 14, 1780; d. Jan. 18, 1860, and son Daniel Quick, b. 1821; d. 1902 , arenalso in the same cemetery.
