Biography

Mary Quicgley was born on 16 AUG 1735 in Hopewell, Cumberland, Pennsylvania, USA. Her parents were James and Jeanette Quigley. ^[1] Her mother was likely of Scottish descent. Her father came to America from Ireland in 1730 and settled on 400 acres of frontier land, in what is today, Hopewell township, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, and served in Revolutionary War.

Mary married Capt. John Brady and had thirteen children, three of whom died in infancy.
