Biography

Weyntie Quick or Wyntje Quik, was born ca. 1692 at Rochester, Ulster County, NY and was baptized there on 29 September 1692. Baptism was recorded at the central Reformed Dutch Church of Kingston, Ulster County, New York.[1]; Entry: 7346. [2]

Marriage

Weyntie Quick, b. Rochester, married Niclaes Van Schoonhoven, b. Kingston, on 24 Feb 1713 at an unknown location, possibly Marbletown, Ulster, NY. Marriage was centrally recorded at the Reformed Dutch Church of Kingston, Ulster, NY[3]. Niclaes was son of Hendrick Claessen Van Schoonhoven (5 May 1652-aft 4 Dec 1715) and Debora Davids (1665-). Niclaes was Born ca. 1684 at Kingston, NY., Baptized on 1 Feb 1684 at Kingston, NY[4][5]

Marbletown is located about 12-15 miles south of Kingston in Ulster County, New York, on the Roundoubt Creek, immediately west of the Shawangunk Mountain range, Marriages and baptisms would have been performed in local meeting houses in 1713, by traveling Dominies from the Kingston Church. All such events were recorded centrally at the Reformed Dutch Church of Kingston, Ulster, New York.

  • Debora Schoonhoven. Deborah Schoonhoven, was bp. on March 24, 1722/23. Baptism was recorded at the Reformed Dutch Church of Kingston, Ulster, NY[10]. Moved to Minisink, m. Joris Davis, baptised March 24, 1723, great-grandson of Kit Davids[7]
  • William Schoonhoven. William Schoonhoven, was bp. on March 28, 1725. Baptism was recorded at the Reformed Dutch Church of Kingston, Ulster, NY[11], baptism recorded at Kingston, Ulster County, NY[7]

Wyntje Quik died before 1728 at Kingston, Ulster, New York, USA[12]
