JEAN BAPTISTE RACHAL August 28, 1766, baptism of Jean Baptiste, born August 27, legitimate son of Barthelemy Rachal and Marie Francoise Lamalathy. Godparents. Jean Lambre and Marie Anne Poissot. [1] He married Marie Pelagie Brevelle on December 19, 1791, after 2 bans, legitimate daughter of Jean Baptiste Brevel and Marie Francoise Poissot, a native of the parish. Witnesses. Guerboi (s), La Verdalay (s), Gaspar Fiolle (x), Louis Barthelemy Rachal (s).
Witness to his brother's wedding to Magdeleine Grillet January 7, 1800. Note the witness and the groom both are named Barthelemi and are said to be brothers. They both married women from the Grillet family.
On January 7, 1800, after three bans, Barthelemi Rachal, native of the parish, legitimate son of Barthelemy Rachal and Marie Francoise Lamalathi, his widow, and Magdeleine Grillet, legitimate daughter of Marin Grillet and Marie Louise Brevel, a native of this post. Witnesses: Bernard Hissoura; Antoine Grillet, her brother; Barthelemi Rachal, his brother, Louis Lamalathie, his uncle. [2]
