Wilhelmina Beatrice "Bess" Rahner was born in Brooklyn in 1876.
Bess met Harry Houdini while she was performing in a song and dance act called The Floral Sisters and he was performing magic with his brother as The Brothers Houdini. They married soon afterwards, and she replaced Houdini's brother in the act, which became known as The Houdinis.
She died in 1943.
