Sally Ramsdell was born in 1791, with unsourced reference to March 16.[1] Her parents were Ebenezer Ramsdell (1763-1846) and Mary Ramsdell (1762-1840). Their family lived on Moose Island, an unincorporated part of Plantation No. 8 in the Massachusetts Bay Colony.[2] In 1898 the area was incorporated as Eastport, Maine.[3]
The only record for a Sarah Robinson dying in Lubec, Maine is from July 2, 1834 at age 43. [1] The age, name, and location support that this is the date of Sally's death. This record also suggests that Sally's husband Joseph was not faithful, as his next child was born October 30, 1834, its mother being Sally's sister Frances, Joseph's second wife.[15]
