Biography

Eliza Randall was married to John Robinson Smith and they remained in Franklin County, Georgia. Her sister, Elizabeth Randall, married William Green Smith, the brother of John Robinson Smith. Elizabeth and William Smith moved to Monroe County, Mississippi. Please do not merge these two sisters as they are not the same person.

Eliza was born 6 November 1824 in Franklin County, Georgia. ^[1][2] Her parents are Oney Randal and Susanna Wilkins.

Eliza Randall and John Robinson Smith were married 21 September 1843 in Franklin County, Georgia. ^[3]

Eliza and John R Smith are listed on the 1850 census in Franklin County, Georgia. They have five children ranging in age from six years old down to eleven months old. ^[4]

In 1860, still in Franklin County, Eliza and John have ten children listed on the census. They now range in age from 16 down to one year old. ^[5]

Research Note

There were two sisters with similar names. The sister who married John Robinson Smith was Eliza Randall. They remained in Franklin and then Stephens County, Georgia. The sister who married William Green Smith (brother of John) was Elizabeth Randall. They married about 1844 and left Franklin County about 1848 and settled in Monroe County, Mississippi. The two sisters have been carefully researched and untangled. Please do not attempt to merge them as one - they are not!
