Kate Amelia was born in 1870^[1] in Thatcham, Berkshire, England,^[2] where she lived with her parents, George and Deborah, in 1871^[3] and 1881.^[4]

She married Walter Edward Ward in 1901;^[5] in 1911 the family lived at The Lodge in Portington, Yorkshire. Walter worked as a domestic gardener.^[2]

Amelia Ward passed away about 1948.^[6]
