  • Ruth Louise Rankin was born in 1900, the daughter of Lewis Rankin and Pearl Watts. Ruth Louise married Ernest E. Trundy. Ruth Louise passed away in 1977.

Ruth Louise Rankin Trundy, 1900-1977, is buried with her husband Ernest E. Trundy (1893-1979) at Mount Prospect Cemetery, Stockton Sprinngs, Waldo, Maine.[1]

Ruth Louise Rankin, 20, and Ernest E. Trundy, 27, were married on 14 August 1920 in Stockton Springs, Waldo, Maine. They were both residents of Stockton Springs, where Ernest was also born; Ruth Louise was born in Amhearst, Maine. Ruth Louise was the daughter of (father unstated, and) Pearl Watts, born in Maine, and a resident of Amherst. Ernest was the son of Adrian W. Trundy, a blacksmith, born and residing in Stockton Springs; and Catharine Warren, born in Jackson, Maine, deceased.[2]

In 1930, the Trundy family lived on West Main Street, in Stockton Springs, Waldo county, Maine. All members of the household were born in Maine, as were their parents. The household included Ernest E. Trundy, 36, who married at age 27, a school janitor, who owned their property valued at $1200; his wife Louise, 29, who married at age 20; their five children, Ernest, Jr., 9, in school; Irene, 7, in school; Marion, 5, in school; Dorothy, 2; and Carl D., six months of age.[3]

In 1940, the Trundy family lived on their farm on West Main Street, Stockton Springs, Maine. They had lived there for at least five years. All were born in Maine. The household included Ernest E. Trundy, 46, who owned their farm valued at $2500, a school janitor who worked 41 weeks in 1939 and earned $615, and who also had an outside income; his wife Louise R., 39, who had completed one year of high school; their six children, all in school except for the baby: Irene A., 17, completed three years of high school, a clerk who earned $21 in 1939; Marion R., 15, completed two years of high school; Dorothy A., 12, completed 7th grade; Carl D., 10, completed 4th grade; Earl T., completed 2nd grade; and Louis A., 4.[4]
