"James Blackburn's wife was Jenny, or Jean Rankin. The 'Chronicles of Cynthianna and other chronicles,' state library, Frankfort, Ky. 976-9411 B. 789 published by Robert Clark Co., Cincinnati, Ohio, 1894, states
'These Rankin girls all seem to have been remarkable women.'"
