He married by about 1936 to Lillian Elizabeth Moore and they had at least one child: [2]

James passed away in 1970 [3] and is buried at Restland Memorial Park in Dallas, Texas. [4]

This James Rankin may have been married twice. There is a record of a James H. Rankin, born about 1894 in Texas, who married Alice F. ____ of Tennessee and resided in Stratton, Oklahoma in 1920 with children: [5]

James G., b. abt. 1915 in Texas
Lillie C., b. abt. 1918 in Oklahoma
There is also a record of a James H. Rankin, born about 1894 in Texas, who resided in Antelope, California in 1930 as a single boarder. [6]
