This profile was built on this single source, a Rootsweb family tree: Anne Rankin, b. about 1794, died 19 June 1889, Greene, TN. Parents: David Rankin, 1799-1862 and Zilpha Roberson, 1809-1882 (both parents are too young). Anne Rankin married James C. Chaudoin, 1795-1837. They had seven children, all, or most born in Marion, TN, between about 1818 and 1831, including MARY E., 1826-191, b. and d. Marion, TN. [3]
Three different mother as seen on three Ancestry.com family trees:
1. Parents, David Rankin, 1745-1802; and Sarah Ann Campbell, 1748-1802 [4] Note: this collection contains some sources in error.
2. Parents, David Rankin, 1745-1802; and Margaret Lerr, 1747-1775. [5]
3. This well sourced family tree shows Mary Anne Rankin, 1831-1914, the daughter of David Rankin, 1799-1862, and Zilph Roberson, 1809-1882. She married George Jeffries Stibblefield, 1817-1894. [6]
I removed this Ann Rankin (1794-1898) as daughter of David Rankin-727 and Zilpha Roberson-447, as they are clearly too young to be her parents.
Can you identify her parents?
