Robert (Ransom) Ransone was a Virginia colonist.

Robert Ransone was born about 1668. Robert is the child of Capt James Ransom and an unknown mother.[1] Birth date is an estimate, based on the estimated dates of birth of other family members.

Robert Ranson or Ransone, apparently a ship captain, on the Planters Adventure in July-Aug 1677, July 1679, July-Aug 1680, & Oct 1681, bound from London to Virginia. Also on the ship Lyon Nov-Dec 1695, and the ship Golden Lyon May 1701. These references are from the Public Records office in London, as reported in The Complete Book of Emigrants 1607-1776, by Peter Wilson Coldham.

Last name could have also been Ransone. Was buried in Plymouth Massachusetts Bay Colony
