Biography
Joseph Raper was christened on the 11th October 1778 at St James in Tong, Yorkshire, at his christening Joseph is 4 weeks old. His father, Martin, is listed as a Collier.
His parents moved to Bradford by 1780, and this is where Joseph continued to live.
On the 14th November 1800 in Bradford, Yorkshire, Joseph married Betty Yewdall, and they had at least 9 children together, all born in Bradford, Yorkshire, between 1803 and 1820.
Joseph worked as a Miner, like his father.
Joseph died on the 26 December 1844, he would have been about 56 years old.
