Eliza Jane Rashleigh was born on the 31st January 1888 in Camborne, Cornwall. ^[1]. She was the daughter of Annie Jane Rashleigh and unknown father. She lived with her grandparents John Drew Rashleigh and Elizabeth Thomas until she was a young woman ^[2][3][4].

In 1921 Eliza was working in a confectionary shop in St. Ives. For some reason she is listed as Lilian in the census ^[5]. In September 1939 Eliza was still single and now the manageress of a shop in Camborne ^[6].

In about September 1940 Eliza married Arthur T Stephens, registered in Redruth, Cornwall. She was by now aged 51 years and 9 months old ^[7].

Eliza died in June 1966 in Redruth. She had reaped the ripe old age of 107 years 6 months old ^[8]
