Edmund was born on the 25th September 1894 in Aschill, Camborne, Cornwall, England. He was the son of William Henry Rashleigh and Elizabeth Ann Hocking[1]. He grew up with his mother in Camborne, and started work as a Tin miner [2][3][4].
In 1923 Edmund emigrated to the United States. He departs from Southampton and arrived in New York on the 4th October 1923 aboard the Homeric[5]. He initially lived with his brother William in Allouez, Keweenaw, Michigan [6], gaining work as a Copper Miner.
Edmund married Millicent Ivy Haynes on the 8th August 1931 in Laurium, Houghton, Michigan. He was 36 years 10 months old [7] . They do not appear to have had any children.
Edmund and Ivy moved to Arizona where he worked again as a copper miner [8]. By 1950 they had moved back to Michigan [9].
Edmund died on the 8th April 1953 in Highland Park, Wayne, Michigan. He was 58 years 6 months old [10]
