Biography
Moses A. Ralston served first with Company A of the 40th Illinois Infantry, mustering into service on 25 Jul 1861, discharging for disability in 1863.
He re-enlisted in the Civil War on 13 May 1864 in Melonsville, IL with Company F of the 136th Illinois Infantry Regiment, mustering into service on 1 Jun 1864 at Centralia, IL. He mustered out of same company on 22 Oct 1864 with rank of corporal at Springfield, IL. (From Findagrave memorial.)
