Started researching my family about 1978. I have contacted people from all over the country and England. I have hired professional researchers myself and I have done first hand research. I strive to provide primary source material and couple it with secondary sources to provide the most accurate proof. I started roughnecking in the oilfield in September 1976, I drilled for 16 years. In the 1990's I taught a Genealogy class at Howard College here in big Spring and had an article on family history in the Big Spring Herald in the late 1990's to just after 2000. I have corresponded with people from all over the United States and England. I have been priviledged to meet many fantastic and very interesting people over the years.
When I started researching I was very lax in documenting my work. I was sent much material which after awhile I realized the material had many mistakes. Wrong people in the family, wrong documentation, wrong dates. I then began getting my own documentation from my own sources.
I owe a great indebtedness to MR. HENRY W. RAWLS. Henry got me started over 40 years ago. he will be 90 in June (since deceased) and no longer works on genealogy, but had sent me the majority of his work (about 10 years ago). Hundreds of contacts over the years.
The biography for Bobby Rawls is empty. What can you add?
I also had my DNA tested at Ancestry DNA and FTDNA and I currently have 43 other participants in the ancestry DNA test results sharing their DNA results with me. That is they have given me access to their ancestry DNA test results!
I use results from all of our test results to triangulate where each participants matches are in the DNA test results.
Using the DNA test results along with the "Old fashioned method of research " I have been able to PROVE the ACTUAL relationships of each participants matches to ALL of us. Bobby Rawls

John and Patience and family lived farther South of Benjamin and Marmaduke. I have NEVER seen ANY documentation linking Benjamin or Marmaduke to John and Patience or their children. The three sons of HARDY RAWLS of Marmaduke of Austin's "Old Three Hundred" were AMOS, BENJAMIN and DANIEL, I have their successions and court records etc. I have thousands of deeds of the RAWLS, from Nansemond co., Va., Bertie-Hertford-Martin-Chowan-Pitt-Edgecombe-Gates, Halifax- and other counties North Carolina, and many from other states and counties too. my Rawls master census book is over 400 pages and my regular census is about 300 pages.
