Biography

This birth date may not be accurate because his mother would appear to be 8 years old. However, the mother, Rebecca Adams, birth date is estimated. Howell would only be 17 during the first census in 1790 and his name will not be listed. Later census records may clarify. Howell was between 21-45 in the 1837 Pontotoc County, Miss Census [1] In the 1845 census he was living next door to his brother, Noah, and a couple doors down from H.A. Rayburn (SR?). He had 2 males and 3 females in his household.

Will of Thomas Rayburn dated 14 Aug 1799, names his beloved wife, Rebecca, sons John, Noah, Thomas Payton, Benjamin Berryman, daughters Caley & Candice and "The unborn child my wife is now great with".[2]

Rayburn-380 and Rayburn-305 appear to represent the same person because: they share almost the exact same vital statistics, the same parents and many of the same siblings.
