Sarah and Daniel's grandfather, Daniel Ray, was profiled by Robert Charles Anderson in Great Migration Begins,[3] Anderson specifically says that both Pope and Savage misread the unfinished will, and thought the grandchildren mentioned were Daniel's children. Daniel Ray had only two children: Joshua and Bethia.[3] He also mentioned his grandchildren in his will: Rebecca and Sarah.[3] Another grandchild mentioned was this Daniel, son of Joshua.
Daniel was also mentioned in his grandfather's unfinished will. Clearly, the grandfather's property was to go to Daniel when he was twenty-one.[3]

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Daniel by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.

Ray-3157 and Raye-27 appear to represent the same person because: These appear to be a match, including portions of the text in the biography section of each profile.
In the Pilgrim Great Migration Project, the suggestion is to use the spelling Anderson used, if there is any question. In this family, he used Ray. So all merges should go INTO a Ray spelling (no matter what the number).
There's a Ray-801 we could use (it's a duplicate of 786, but 786 has children attached, and 801 doesn't), if you don't think that would confuse things too much. Otherwise, looks like it's this one, 3157, that would be the lowest numbered profile with the correct last name at birth.
No one has voiced any comments, concerns since May? Then, let's choose one, and do it! : )
The printed version of the Salem Vital records has lists of several different spellings of Ray, Rae, Rea etc. with names under each surname. So obviously the transcriber went to the trouble to put the correct spellings as from the original records (unlike some where they lump them together. Joshua and Sara's children are all under Ray. Can we change the LNAB to Ray as I requested previously and then merge.
Rea-110 and Raye-17 are not ready to be merged because: I actually believe that the last name at birth should be RAY, just want to hold while we discuss
Raye-17 and Rea-110 and Rea-108 all appear to represent the same person because: Same name, birth date, parents. The name at birth is actually spelled Rea at times in his life, but iot is also spelled Ray. The PGM suggestion is to go with Robert C. Anderson, when in doubt. He uses Ray in his profile of Daniel. Problem is, we do not have a Daniel Ray to merge INTO.

Suggest this Daniel Rea be used to represent the grandson, who was the son of Joshua and Sarah Waters Rea/Ray.
Proposed date to change parents: December 17, 2014
