Milton D. Rea was born 28 January 1836 in Dalton, Hopkins, Kentucky. [1][2][3][4][5] His surname also appears as "Rhea"[1][2] and as "Ray" [6][3]". His Find A Grave memorial shows his middle name as Dudley (without source). He was the son of Starling Edgar Rea and Martha Patsy Sisk. In 1850, Milton, age 15, lived in Hopkins County, Kentucky with his mother Martha and siblings. [1]
On 2 December 1855 in Hopkins County, Kentucky, 19-year old Milton (shown as "M.D. Ray") married 19-year old Sarah "S.E.E. Utley". [6] By 1860, Milton lived and farmed in Jackson Township, Carroll, Arkansas with wife Sarah E, their two children; and domestic, Nealy H Dye. [2] In 1870, Milton lived and farmed in Fisher Spring, Hopkins, Kentucky with his family. [3] In 1880, "Milton Rea" was still farming in Fisher Spring. [4]
Milton passed away 17 November 1902 in Madisonville, Hopkins, Kentucky and was buried at Dalton Cemetery, Dalton, Hopkins County, Kentucky. [5]
