This man is said to have been also known as John Patrick.[citation needed]
Eight of the ten children which he reported in the 1911 census can be found here.
Patrick Rea 62 yrs old farmer, wife Julia 59 yrs, Edmond 15 yrs resided in 1901 house 1 in Brickfield, Effin civil parish (Ballymacshaneboy, Limerick).[1]
Although no rank or profession is given for Patrick Rea on the 1905 marriage certificate of his daughter Hanora Rea of Kilmallock, Co. Limerick, he was clearly still alive as late as 1911, and he was a farmer according to the marriage certificate of his daughter Catherine Leahy, widow, shopkeeper, of Kilmallock, who remarried on the same day.[2]
Patrick Rea 70 yrs old farmer, wife Julia 60 yrs, Mary 30 yrs Edward 25 yrs resided in 1911 house 1 in Brickfield (Ballymacshaneboy, Limerick).[3]

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Patrick by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Patrick:
Rea-39 and Rea-21 appear to represent the same person because: they are both fathers of different copies of Hanora/Nora/Noreen Cagney née Rea, whose marriage record confirms that her father was Patrick, apparently not either John or Ned.
