She is noticed in Ferguson's work[1] in the Marriage Register of the Scots Brigade when she appears in a contract of marriage, 15 December 1747, at Den Bommel, South Holland, Netherlands, between George Mackay, stated to be a soldier of Captain Macalister's Company, and herself, stated to be the daughter of James Rea, a Corporal in Captain Gordon's Company. The witnesses to the contract were Sergeant John MacLean and Angus Mackay, a soldier in Colonel Mackay's Company.
