Biography

He is noticed in Ferguson's work[1] in the Marriage Register of the Scots Brigade when he appears, as the father of the bride, in a contract of marriage, 15 December 1747, at Den Bommel, South Holland, Netherlands, between George Mackay, stated to be a soldier of Captain Macalister's Company, and Margaret Rea, stated to be his daughter. He is stated to be a Corporal in Captain Gordon's Company.
