Jean Réaume was the Father of René - the pioneer and Generation 1 Ancestor for every Réaume (Rhéaume) who can trace their ancestry through New France (Quebec, Canada) since 1665.

The 1681 date of death is unsourced. Jean was still living in November 1672 when he was present at his daughter's marriage at La Rochelle. He is not known to have emigrated from France.
