Biography

Albert Jacques (Alberique/Alberic) Reaume was born on 13 Oct 1865 and baptized 2 days later at Assumption Church, Sandwich (Windsor), Essex, Ontario, Canada. [1]

Annie and Alberic were married on 18 Feb 1889 at Assumption Church, Sandwich, Essex, Ontario, Canada. [2]

Annie and Alberic were blessed with 6 children during their 15 year marriage:

  • Lena Marie (Lynn) Reaume- Martin (14 Dec 1889)
  • Eva Marie Reaume-Réaume (14 Oct 1891)
  • Anna Lida (Ida) Marie Reaume-Bouffard (6 Feb 1895)
  • Lucy Mary Reaume-Jemus (Gemus) (19 Apr 1897)
  • Albert Noë Reaume (26 May 1899)
  • Henriette Marie Reaume-Tourangeau (12 Dec 1901)

The 1901 Canada Census lists Alberic Reaume as a 36 year old gardner (farmer) and his family was still residing in Sandwich West, Essex North, Ontario Canada with the exception of their youngest daughter, Henriette, who wasn't born until December of 1901. [3]

Annie died on 27 Nov 1903 at the young age of 36. She was buried on 30 Nov 1903 at Assumption Cemetery, Sandwich (Windsor), Essex, Ontario, Canada (plot Sec A • Area 4 • Row 10 • Stone 1). [4]

Fourteen years after Annie's death, Alberic (at the age of 52) married a second time to [[Gignac-100|Rose Delima Gignac, the daughter of James Gignac & Martina Provencher dit Villebrun . They married on 29 Oct 1917 at Assumption Church, Windsor, Essex, Ontario, Canada. [5]

There were no children from the marriage of Alberic and Rose.

Albert Jacques (Alberic) lived a long life, dying at the age of 83 on 9 May 1949 in Sandwich, Essex, Ontario, Canada. [6]
