Biography
Biography: Vince Reaume Vince Reaume was born at home in the town of Sandwich, Essex, Ontario. He grew tall and skinny, and joined the local Boxing club.
In joinged the Navy as a young man. 1940-45 Navy Mining , WW2 Research vessel, earning several medals. He was a boxer in the Navy and won awards Since their were two men named Vince on board the ship, he was nicnamed Mike.
Vince married Donnna Toffan while he was still in the Navy. prior to 1946 , They had 2 children together Paula, Patti They divoced about 1962
2nd wife Lillian married later in life & lived in Detroit, USA They had a nice life together. Lillian died about 2009 her nicname was Red because of her red hair.
RESIDENCES: Lived and grew up in the town of Sandwich,later in LaSalle, joined the Navy based out of Nova Scotia, After the navy he lived with his sister Toots Thorton and 2nd wife Lil in Windsor, moved to Detroit, Michigan,USA
Vince loved to hunt rabbit and ducks and would often bring them home for supper. He was an excellent photographer and often did requests for weddings. His home was full of photography equipment. Two of his granddaughters somehow developed his passion and skill. He loved to dance and he would take his 2nd wife out dancing often at the local Legion. He was an excellent dancer knowing many of the classic ballroom dances,etc.
He died at age 61 after a jog to his friend's house in summer. appears to have been cardiac/stroke. The Detroit ambulance could not come when called as they not come for that type of emergency - At that time. It has now changed.
