Nancy Elizabeth Redman was born in Adair County, Kentucky, in 1807, the daughter of Absalom Redman and Elizabeth Smith.[1] In 1923, she married Turner Hughes, and had four children.[2]
Research Notes
There were two marriages of a Nancy Redman in Adair County close together, one in 1823, to Turner Hughes, and another in 1824 (or 1825), to William (or Wilson) Clark. According to Robert Turman, the Nancy Redman who married William Clark was the youngest sister of Absalom.

Note N00351Marriage Bond Turner Hughes & Nancy Redman
↑ This contradicts Turman's (and other's) statement that Absalom and Elizabeth had only three children, Wesley, Margaret Ann, and Naomi Jane. Confirmation that Nancy was their first of four children is needed.
