On 1 Aug 1638 William Stephens married Ann Redman, the widow of Edward Herbert. William Stephens of the Middle Temple, London armiger & Ann Harbert of Newport widow, at St Lawrence, 01 Aug 1638.[1] She was described as being young, beautiful and with great eloquence, firmness and resolution. [2]They had several children including:

Elizabeth
Ann died before 1685, when the marriage licence of her daughter Mary stated that both her parents were deceased.[3]
