He died shortly after his marriage to Edna M Frank, and his daughter Mary was born 8 months later.
He was working as a helper in the car repair section in Harrisburg at Maclay Street and was struck behind the ear by the bar of a jack which was released unexpectedly.
Following the accident he was placed on an engine and taken to the Harrisburg Hospital, but was dead upon arrival there at 12:15. He was a bridegroom of less than two months, having married Miss Edna Frank, of Lebanon, in June.
He was recently released from military service in the US Army serving at a US base, he did not see service in France.
