Biography

Mary was born in 1924. She is the daughter of John Redwine and Stella Decker. According to family history, Stella wanted to name her daughter Mary Opal. However, Stella's mother told the doctor that the baby's name was "Dixie Belle", which was officially recorded on her birth certificate.

She married Harold Gibson. They had two children.

She married Junior Edward Sells on December 18, 1954. They had one child.

She passed away March 17, 1990, and is buried in Fort Gibson National Cemetery, Fort Gibson, Muskogee County, Oklahoma.
