Biography

Fair and blue-eyed. He loved people, politics, sports. He was well-liked by all who knew him. Good natured; a great storyteller.

He was a well-trusted cotton-weigher in the Lamar County, Texas area. He had three children by his first wife, Nina Maud Shelnutt. She passed away in 1937, and he married Mrs. Ruth (Grant) Fisher in 1941. They had no biological children together. He died of a stroke that occurred while he and Ruth were out fishing.
