Francis was married to Nancy (Nosler) Kirk in 1850 and was stepfather to her children William, Madison, Armstead, Elizabeth M., Clarinda and Sarah Jane Kirk. Francis was age 53 b North Carolina and Nancy was age 55, born in Tennessee.[1]
