The birth date above is actually a baptism date for a Thomas Reade or Reader in Colchester (findmypast.co.uk has two references to the baptism from different indexed sources). He wasn't necessarily the same Thomas as the one in this profile. Thomas didn't die in 1659. He wrote a will on 13 July 1665, which went to probate on 3 March 1665/66 (National Archives, PROB-11-320-16). I changed his death date to show this.

I find no evidence of the existence of Rachel Olmstead (supposed wife of Thomas) other than personal uploads to online genealogy databases at familysearch.org and geni.com, for instance. There may be others, but these aren't credible sources. Rachel has also been attached to an Olmstead father and grandfather with no explanation given, and I've found no evidence to support it. I detached her from this profile. She still has a page that I've adopted (Olmstead-2238).
