Moses was born in 1807. He was the son of Edward Reed and Sally Martin.
He married Ruth Fortner in Warren county, Tennessee. They had children.
They moved to Shelby county, Illinois. In 1850, they were in Locust Grove in that county.[1]

He passed away in 1884. He was buried in Oak Grove cemetery in Shelbyville.[5]
