Biography

On April 11, 1809, at Braintree, Massachusetts, Elisha Thayer of Randolph and Anna Reed published their intention to marry. (With no further evidence, it's assumed they married on that date.)[1]

Nancy's father William Reed left bequests for her and her sisters (by name) in his Will, signed on 8 November 1828, and probated on April 2, 1833. [2]

Anna's husband Elisha died in January 1835. He left the bulk of his estate to his wife Anna, and named her as his Executrix. Elisha had also given $1 to each of their 12 children. The Will was proved on 10 February, 1835 at Norfolk. [3]

Mrs. Anna Thayer of Randolph married Simeon Dunbar on June 20, 1841 at Brockton, Massachusetts. An intention to marry had been published. [4] Simeon, a Shoemaker, died from consumption January 22, 1848, age 66, at Brockton. [5] He was mentioned on a memorial with his first wife Parna in Union Cemetery, Brockton.[6]

Anna Dunbar, widow, daughter of William Reed, died (age 70) from typhus fever on 2 October 1859 in Randolph, Massachusetts.[7]

Anna was mentioned on a memorial in Union Cemetery, Holbrook, Norfolk County, Massachusetts, along with her first husband Elisha and a child who died in infancy.[8]
