Samuel was born in Pennsylvania in 1811 to David and Elizabeth Reed.
He married Mariah Johnson on 15 Feb 1835. They moved to Ohio, where Mariah died in 1842.
He married again on 29 Dec 1845 to Elizabeth Baker. The family was living in Tully, Marion County, Ohio.[1] By 1880, they were living in St. Clair County, Missouri.[2]
