Biography

Thomas Reed was born about 1779 in Virginia. He is the son of James Reed and Mary Little .

Thomas married Catherine White 7 May 1801 in Frederick Co., Virginia.[1] A marriage bond was signed by Thomas Reed and Jonathan White.[2]

In August 1813, Thomas entered into a lease agreement with his father James for his property and $20. [3]

In March 1816, Rebecca Reed (widow of James Reed, deceased) relinquishes her claim to a lease between Thomas Reed and James Reed deceased. Thomas Reed and Jonathan Reed are administrators of the James Reed's estate. [4]

Thomas and Catherine moved to Ohio sometime before 1820. At the time of the settlement of his father's estate (1816), court records indicate he was a resident of Hamilton County, Ohio.[5]

By 1822, Thomas was living in Dearborn Co., Indiana.
