Biography

Martha was born in 1764, the daughter of Joshua Reed (1739-1805) and Rachel Wyman (1737-1818).

Martha is listed as Patty in the marriage records of Woburn and Malden. (Patty is a common nickname for Martha during this period.)

She married Partridge Richardson at Malden, Massachusetts on 30 Jun 1784. The Malden record shows her name as "Patty Ried" and states they were born residents of Malden, with Rev. P. Thacher as the notary. They were the parents of six known children. For a period of time the couple lived in Biddeford, now Maine, as several of their children were born there.
