Biography

Lydia was born on 4 June 1799 in Stoddard, New Hampshire. Her father is listed as Isaiah Reed on her birth certificate, and her mother is listed just as "Lydia" without a surname.[1]
In 1850, Lydia, her husband and three children -- Sarah, Edward and George -- are living in Centre Harbor, New Hampshire.[2]
She is living with her husband in her daughter's family's household in Centre Harbor, New Hampshire in 1860.[3]
Lydia passed away on 22 Aug 1867. Her cause of death is listed as "paralysis." She was 68 years old.[4]
Her Find-a-Grave entry shows that she died on 16 Aug 1867 and was the wife of David Scruton.[5]
Her last name is given as "Reed" on her son Edward's death certificate.[6]
